Boxing Volume 8

Another gallery of younger guys practicing the art of pugilism.  I render these images not because I'm a fan of the sport, it's because the host platforms which normally frown on depicting scantily clad youngsters, give a pass in context;  in this case, it's boxing.

  1. I wonder what the host platform's reaction would be to you featuring the sport of springboard diving in the under-18's category where all the boys are wearing speedo-type costumes? Loads of these video's are on arch-censorship site YouTube in all sorts of age categories as are those featuring girls too. These double standards are pathetic, aren't they.

    1. Hey ZD. I hadn't tried to render springboard diving in a set of images on DeviantArt, as you surmised that scenario was too risky, but I did post speedo clad youngsters here in “Green speedos” and “Photo shoot” both on March 1. You're quite correct in noting the the double standard when it comes to posting images of your girts; that same observation was made in my private conversations with a couple of other DA creators. Thanks for signing your comments BTW.

  3. Well I had missed both of those as they were published before I joined either DA or knew of your site. The green speedo is particularly good in my opinion with interesting variations of similar on Photo Shoot - they're still up so it's not all bad lol ZD

    1. I'm glad that you like the collections ZD. At first when the animation feature was made available, I thought that I would create a separate gallery for them, but I decided to include the animations at the end of a gallery. What do you think: animation within a gallery or a separate gallery? (This is not specifically for ZD, anyone may respond).

    2. Within the gallery, as it is right now I think. I find that the animation at the end is a nice change and finishes off my appreciation of the gallery nicely as 'all' of one or the other might tend to take the sparkle out of both. ZD.

    3. Thanks for your feedback ZD. Anyone else want to post an opinion?

  4. BTW..the reason for this blog is that I control it entirely. (However I'm sure that if I posted CP, not only would the blog be taken down, I would face devastating legal consequences). I did have a problem with Google on my other blog, but they only placed a content warning on that specific gallery. I didn't care for the warning, it defaced my portal to the blog with an unsightly banner, so I removed the gallery..not Google.

    1. Pity I missed that as I am always interested in how far these companies can be pushed. Google is a Delaware company, has to comply with US Federal Law and for Terms of Service disputes, California law applies (as with DA). If being reported by someone doesn't matter then it seems DA and Google may be policing their domains differently - in one you get nuked, the other a banner warning. Depends on the content of course, I know. ZD

    2. Thanks for that explanation and observation ZD.
BTW, Blogger/Google reversed themselves and removed the Guidelines warning on the "Frat boys in the pool (a guest gallery by pdquick)" gallery on my other blog, so I reposted it. It would serve DeviantArt well to adopt that same philosophy of content moderation.

  5. Now looked at it and at a loss to understand Google's original action. ZD

    1. Quite right ZD; but at least they have a review process in place that works, unlike DeviantArt. Also, I didn't initiate the review..I only was aware of the reversal after the fact, I rarely check that email account, I'll now be certain to check it more often!

    2. The fact that you didn't initiate the review is interesting to note. ZD
